Fall Wedding Lighting Inspiration

Fall is one of the most popular times of year for weddings. The weather is generally comfortable and the scenery of seasonal flowers and fall foliage is naturally beautiful.

There are many ways to incorporate the feels of fall throughout your wedding, including the lighting elements!

Bring the Outdoors In

Bringing the outdoors in has been a huge design trend this year and perfect for fall wedding season!

Chandeliers of twisted branches laced with LED string lighting, for example, give the impression of stars shining through trees in the crisp fall night sky.

Consider hollowing out apples or pumpkins and using them as natural votive candle holders. Fill clear cylinders or bowls with things you can find easily outdoors in fall like pinecones, acorns and dried leaves. Include a battery-operated candle in the mix and you have a beautiful centerpiece inspired by the fall season.

Falling Light

More specifically, waterfalls of light. Ask your designer to create a backdrop of string lights to hang side by side behind a your sweetheart table, sweets table, or other specialty display to give the impression of water falling. Lights are available in many different colors and sizes and are both long-lasting and reusable. Since your designer can recycle them many times, they are also eco-friendly!

Candles in Fall Colors

Traditional candles are available in more colors than you can imagine. Consider clear candleholders in a variety of sizes and shapes. Combine them with colorful votive or pillar candles. Popular now are masses or clusters of candles highlighting bars, altar areas, and pathways. Make a statement with your favorite fall colors in candle form!  Just be sure to choose unscented candles for any indoor sites or areas close to food service as scented candles can quickly become overwhelming in confined spaces.
