How To Make Guests Comfortable At Your Wedding

Everyone likes to think that a wedding is all about the bride and groom and although that might be true for your guests, it won’t be true for you and your fiancé. The main thing that most brides and grooms deal with is making sure that all of their guests are comfortable. This covers items such as the seating arrangements, food selections and hotel accommodations for out-of-town guests. Here are a few small things that you can do to help make everyone feel more comfortable at your wedding.

Offer Sandals or Slippers

If you’re having a wedding inside where guests will need to remove their shoes or outside on the beach, it’s always nice gesture to have footwear available. For example, buying several pairs of sandals and slippers gives your guests the ability to still feel comfortable even if they don’t have on their shoes. The best part is that this little ounce of comfort is relatively affordable as you can find footwear at bulk discount stores online or at your local dollar store.

Offer Shawls

Another huge comfort factor that a lot of couples forget is the temperature. If you’re hosting an indoor ceremony and reception you’ll probably have the air turned down because of the amount of people who will be in each room. Making sure that you have shawls (preferably in a color that relates to your wedding) gives your guests the option to be color coordinated and comfortable during the event. Shawls can also be bought in a variety of materials to help make them classier than your traditional casual accessory.

Supply Bug Spray

A lot of people enjoy having their wedding outside and although it can set the perfect scene for your vows, it can also be disastrous for people who have an issue with bugs, such as mosquitoes. For a couple of dollars at your local big box store you can buy bottles of bug spray that your guests can use to protect themselves against outdoor pests. This is also a great idea for sunscreen in the event that you’re having your wedding during the peak of the day.

Provide Activities

Even though the majority of the time spent at the venue will include your wedding ceremony, dinner, and dancing, there will be several down times where your guests won’t know what to do. For example, you may want to have a planned activity while you’re having the wedding photos taken.

Make sure that you have activities set up for your guests to enjoy whether you want to rent a photo booth for the event or if you design your own wishing tree. When there are activities for guests to enjoy, no one feels forced to mingle with people but can instead have a great time.
